my wedding! rehearsal dinner to ceremony...
while justin and i are waiting excitedly for our professional photos to come back, i thought i would post a few of the "amateur" shots &give y'all a summary of the most fun day of my entire life. seriously, i wish i could get married every single dang day, dangit.
all the fun started the day before the wedding, of course, with the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. what was so awesome about these events was how they were with such a varied group of people. we had our childhood friends, our overseas friends, our families, EVERYONE all together. it was totally amazing.
our ceremony site was a location on the vast vast grounds of Thorpewood called "the pine cathedral" (for very good reason). it is literally one of the only places i have ever been to that i can honestly call enchanting...

afterwards at the rehearsal dinner, i went crazy over cinnamon butter and lots of people made great toasts and our worlds continued to happily collide.

meanwhile, Justin's cousin Emily was ALSO hard at work: putting together ALL the bridesmaids' bouquets (3 white peonies each), the boutonnieres (baby's breath &stephanotis), AND my bouquet (tons of baby's breath)... can you believe that? what a fantastic girl, right? Justin and i are very lucky to have such talented people close to us.

the weather report was all: "THUNDERSTORMS THUNDERSTORMS" but it ended up being perfect. as soon as we arrived at the ceremony site and i saw everything all my nervousness just MELTED away, thank god! i got insanely excited and ecstatic instead. yeah!

at the rehearsal we all realized we had no idea what to do in a wedding ceremony. we had a very good coach though, named Julie, who is the event coordinator at Thorpewood and is so so so so nice and helpful.

my 'maids worked together and helped me get into my dress (no small feat) and bridesmaid Nour was hard at work putting finishing touches on my veil.

luckily my bridesmaids were having a great time so they didnt have much trouble convincing me of how fun this actually was.

i sat next to my sister and maid of honor and dear friend Tisa. She helped me put on my brave face (but i was still so nervous!)

our ringbearer was my 17 year old brother Bryce, who is so rad. My 18 year old cousin Ariana was the flower girl. She's a very beautiful person, too.
{photo: P Tenney}My bridesmaids were one of the finest and most gorgeous collections of ladies this world has ever seen, if i do say so myself. From left to right: Lauren played the autoharp during the processional, Sophia made the centerpieces, Veronica is my oldest friend, Nour the veil-maker, Aimee was my indespensible "wedding deputy", Little Ariana Rae, and Theresa who did an unfathomable amount of work for my wedding. i am lucky.

When we were thinking of who would marry us, Frank was the first person i thought of and happily he was totally excited about it when i asked him. Also of note: Frank had never been to a wedding before leading ours!

while most of the guests went back to the reception site, the bridal party lazily hung around to do photos. {photos: P Tenney}
we did some embarrassing cheesy stuff, too, and then went on to the reception which was really enjoyable and occasionally fairly wild... for a wedding reception, anyways.
it was totally "magical" really...
